Making a plug

My sweet friend, Dana Ellis introduced me to this website this evening and I was touched by the quality and the dedication that the artisans have for their crafts. Check out the site and see if you agree.  There is no obligation to do anything, but just check it out when you have the time.  Happy window shopping, or maybe early holiday shopping!

Eventful time of Change

School is back in session and not just for those under the age of 25!  I'm into my next 7week online course and so far things are progressing just fine!  I plan to "press on to the goal" with each course completion.  School isn't just for the young anymore!!!

School opening is not the only change at this time for us.  Besides the trees beginning to have a hint of color and the lower bouts of humidity in the year, the change in the calendar brings anticipation of the birth of our 1st grandchild-a boy-expected the end of October!! We anticipate with great joy of this event in our lives!!  Thank you for the ongoing prayers for our daughter and son-in-love during this time.  We also are looking forward to the 3rd Annual Kidney Walk  that will be held on Sunday October 17, 2010!  Our team , WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY/TEAM WILSON is doing very well in raising not only monetary donations, but awareness for Kidney Disease.  Thank you for all the support throughout the years and the ongoing prayers for this cause. If you are able we would LOVE for you to be a part of our team and walk with us!!

Though schedules are full with activities, may you take this time of change to possibly "change" and take time to see the blessings that God so richly gives us all every day. We are all blessed with so many little moments that enrich our lives.

Reflections of Nature by Nina

"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life."

First of all I want to say how proud I am of my sister-Nina Lenker! She has a talent and she is now sharing her talent with others and starting her own business in the process.  I realized what a great talent she had when we attended her oldesst son's wedding and she designed every arrangement that was seen from the church to the reception to what the wedding party carried and wore.  It was gorgeous!  We, our daughter and I, were so impressed that we asked her if she would be willing to do the flower arrangements for the church building for Megan's, our daughter wedding.  She accepted the offer and we were totally satisfied and appreciative of her unique touch for each client that she serves.  That was almost two years ago.

Today I am sharing this information with my blog-reader friends so you can see what great work she is doing.  Her store is small at this point, but she just opened up for business June of 2010!  She is working on building up her clients and she is doing several weddings, special occasion events as well as selling items in her store.

At this time she doesn't have a website, so I thought I could share her designs through my blog.  Please feel free to share with your friends.  I will add the contact information below the website.

Enjoy these creations and if you would like to consult with her about an upcoming event or just making an ordinary day a little special.  She would love to create a one-of-kind item for you!

Thanks for taking the time to view the site.
