1st Year Anniversary

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1John 3:16.

Sept 27, 2011 will be a date that will not be forgotten in our family. That day was the day we were given an unconditional gift: Stephanie, with Bobby’s full support, literally laid down her life for my husband, so he could continue to have a long, healthy extended life. I’m still at a lack of words for how thankful our family is to the Brown-Moglia Family.
Happy one-year anniversary!!!! One year later and Jim continues to do remarkably well; in fact the transplant team labels him as “boring”…that’s a very good thing. One year later we see every day just how blessed we are for this gift. One year later we don’t take our days here on earth for granted. One year later we continue to be amazed at the gift “our angel” provided. The gift of one of her strong healthy kidneys to replace Jim’s very weakened kidney. One year later we are thankful for the lifetime medications that he takes for his new kidney to function at full capacity, which enables Jim to stay healthy and strong. One year later we are thankful for the stamina and energy, which was taken away for many years through his kidney disease is now been restored. And one year later the sacrificial donation without any hesitation still is humbling, amazing, and incredible to us. Every day is a day of thankfulness.
Stephanie, thank you for “laying your life” down for Jim!
God Bless
