I got it!!

My dress is here. It is beautiful!! It brings tears to eyes just thinking about it...I'm the mother-of-the-bride. Oh how my heart is full!! My mind is also on "over-load" with wedding things going through my mind and ways to do certain things, etc. Megan and I are having a wonderful time getting things ready for the day. In fact, I shared with a dear friend just this week, how Megan and I are enjoying this time and though we have always been close, we are finding
"another level" of our relationship as mother/daughter. It is one of a deep admiration, respect, deep friendship, and always unconditional love. I'm tearing so I need to stop talking/writing about it. I'm SOOO blessed. Things are coming together very well for the wedding.

Jim and I will be leaving for a little R&R on Saturday for the week. We're going to the Outer Banks, Nags Head, NC. We are taking a very close couple with us. We have a great time together and we have a terrific relationship so we also have time with just our spouses when we vacation together. It is such a blessing to have couple friends like that. We have been blessed with 2 couples in our marriage that we have been able to spend a week together, yet not together. (I'm sure that doesn't make any sense..but it does to me). Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share from our time away.

I begin my class, Sept. 8th, so I plan to take my book with me on vacation. The Tuesday night campus dinners (which I organize and get volunteers to donate an item or more of a particular meal for approx. 55+ college students), start Sept. 2nd.

Matt is not able to leave to spend time with us due to his work schedule. He is now Campus Minister for U of D and the students return next week.

Megan is not able to to come due to her new teaching job!!! She is a 7th-grade English teacher for Red Lion Christian Academy-Upper Level. She began this week with students beginning Monday, the 25th.

Just a few "little tidbits" from living R Lives Together.

I'm still blogging, but...

...I have been doing alot of work on my volunteer groups as well as finalizing things for our daughters' upcoming wedding. I will be back to blogging more soon!! (or at least I hope to be back). Here has been some of the events that I have been doing since my last blog entry.

-Spending some family time in Lewes, Delaware (we all were together for a few days, which was WONDERFUL)
-preparing for the upcoming 1st annual kidney foundation walk to be held in Delaware
-working on the fall semester food volunteer list for the weekly Tuesday night meals as well as keeping the main database current for the BHC/DCCMF campus ministry.
-continually working with Megan and doing other things that she is not able to get to with working, etc for the upcoming wedding event. (I'll share that wonderful experience throughout my blogging. It has been such an emotionally great event in my life as the mother-of-the-bride. We're having a great time working together). Nov 8th is only 97 days away!!!!!!
-Jim and I are planning some time away in the Outer Banks the end of August.
-I'm also planning on taking a college course at Wilmington University in September! I haven't been in a classroom for many years. PLEASE keep this in your prayers.
-This is also the first fall season that I won't be teaching private music lessons. I "retired" in May and it is different not preparing for the upcoming school schedule. This transition is different for me as well.
-I continue to participate in my bi-weekly evening bible study and we have been a bit sporadic with the summer months, so I will share more about the discussion of the class. We're studying a study of Daniel, which is very good.
-I
-September brings a full load with classes beginning, 3 bible studies, volunteering, did I mention "THE WEDDING".

SO, though the above are things that I choose to do, I haven't been devoted to blogging as I should. Frankly, it is therapeutic for me (and I'm sure somewhat boring or lack of interest for you who read it). I find it hard to "find the time" to do some things just for me to benefit from. God is showing me that this is something that I need to do and I'm getting better at it, but it is still a learning process.

I haven't touched my quilting needle for weeks and scrapbooking, well, the closest the to scrapbooking that I have been able to do was working on a bulletin board last week while VBS was going on at church. I organized the registration for our VBS at church so when all the kids were registered I had time to get the campus bulletin board updated and used some of my scrapbooking techniques. I will get back to quilting and scrapbooking during the cooler months.

I'll blog again soon!!! It sure felt good sharing what has been going on. A little about "nothing". Wonder if I could do a TV show about nothing...worked for NBC for several years. LOL!!
