Extraordinary Moments

My status on facebook today is that I'm thankful for being able to see the extraordinary blessings in my ordinary days!! That's what motivated me to start this blog!  I know that lately, I have not been motivated to update as frequently as I had in the past.  My life has changed over the last 6 weeks, but in a way that has changed me forever!!  God has blessed us beyond anything that we deserve, but I pray that I continue to see His blessings and thank Him for all that He has provided in our lives.
Today, I was invited to do some errands and a little shopping with Megan and Jackson.  We also made a trip to visit Santa.  It was a 1st and I was thrilled be apart of the "encounter".  I can't describe what this child has done to our lives.  We think and act differently....like that's a change LOL!! I've changed....for the better, and I hope and pray I continue to evolve into the Mimi that God intense for me to become.
The change....awww yes, in this time of life, change is a word the conjures up hormonal issues, more than what I'm describing right now.  The change has been when we don't see Jackson for several days, our (Jim's and mine) hearts ache.  I battled a cold last week and didn't see him for several days.  Yesterday, I had him in my arms and just took him and smelled him!!! My heart melted and my eyes filled with tears.  That's my extraordinary moment time in an ordinary day.  I'm so thankful for this change!!!  Below is a picture of his visit to Santa.  It's a bit early, but Jackson's parents are wise and decided that now is a good time before too many crowds are at the Mall.  Jackson is 5 1/2 weeks old and we can not imagine our lives without him in it.
May you find many extraordinary moments in your ordinary days and realize that they are personal blessings from God.  This moments remind me that God is always there for me, during the good, the bad, and the expected and unexpected times.

Ordinary Days....no more

Ordinary days don't exist in our household anymore.  All the days are extraordinary!!!  Jackson has allowed us to see the beauty of every single day and the ordinary is no longer "just a day" but another adventure of learning, loving, serving as well as a day of being grateful for the day.

While raising our children, I had moments of these times being extraordinary, but being a grandparent has opened up this part of my mind to seeing every moment as a time to teach, mentor, learn, grow, and be so grateful.  The good, the not-so-good, the surprised and the expected.  Below are a few pictures of some of those days of nothing-too-special, but believe me, they're totally special!!!

I hoped when I started this blog and entitled it, "Living R Lives Together", that I would be able to express gratitude through non-eventful happenings in my life and the lives of my family.  I am thankful for the insight that this blog has given me.  Most of my posts are boring and self-indulgent, but I also realize that others can see that non-eventful daily events become special days with my blogging because of my attitude and outlook being centered on a higher source for direction.  I'm grateful for my faith and my relationship with Christ!
