Happy 2nd Anniversary
“We know what true love looks like because of Jesus. He gave His life for us, and He calls us to give our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1John 3:16.
Though we are grateful
each day for the unconditional gift we were given on Sept 27, 2011, the actual
day each year is one that we will proclaim and celebrate. Today marks exactly two
years since Stephanie Moglia laid down her life for my husband, so he could
continue to have a long, healthy extended life! Even now, two years later, expressing
just how thankful our family is to the Brown-Moglia Family is hard to put into
words.
Happy 2nd-
Anniversary!! Jim is doing phenomenally! He is stronger and healthier. He continues to be extremely compliant with
his medications that he will be on for life, and his stamina is at a level that
he would not have been able to experience without this unconditional gift! In
fact, he just recently did a 75-mile bike-to-the-bay event to benefit MS here
in Delaware with our daughter and the Wilmington University team! Only word for that: AMAZING!!!!
“Boring” or “Poster-Patient”
continues to be the label that Jim’s transplant team and Nephrologist use to
describe him! After two years we continue to realize what a blessing every day
is that we are given. We don’t take our days here on earth for granted. We
continue to be amazed at the gift “our angel” provided. The gift of one of her
strong healthy kidneys to replace Jim’s very weakened kidney. Stephanie’s
donation was without any hesitation. Her support from her amazing husband and their
families was not only a strength to her but for us. Remembering this
life-changing event on this anniversary date is still humbling, amazing, and
incredible to us. Every day is a day of thankfulness, and it is all because of
a servant heart of one special giving individual!
