Music to the ears and pondering events in my heart
I promised you a picture of my last recital. Sorry that the picture is somewhat dark. I received a new digital camera from my family this Sunday :-D The students did a great job. It's hard to believe that it has been over 2 weeks since our recital. I think of the children often, but truly know that, at this time, I made the right decision to "retire".
I had the wonderful experience of being "the mother of the bride" at Megan's first bridal shower. I will share with you pictures from that event. It actually was the Sunday after the music recital. Emotions were high that weekend. What WONDERFUL memories.
In one of the pictures you will see Megan's roommate and good friend, Anessa. Megan is her maid-of-honor this coming Saturday and Anessa will be Megan's matron-of-honor in Nov. The girls met when they were in elementary school and went to church together since that time and became very close friends. The shower was given to all the girls getting married that were involved in the BHC (Blue Hens for Christ) Campus Ministry. There were four girls. We had a very good time. It was very retrospective for me seeing our little girl opening up gifts for her home. It was a bit surreal, but oh what a sense of pride I felt as she handled herself with her appreciation of all that the group did for her and the other young women. I am reminded so many times of one of my favorite scriptures. "And Mary pondered/kept this in her heart."This is such an exciting, yet bittersweet time in my life. I'm SO BLESSED!!!
